BEWILDERED and scared, Schapelle Corby gestures to photographers before getting out of a prison van at a court in Denpasar, Bali, where she filed a final appeal.
Freedom hopes dashed after no security video found
August 29, 2006 01:00am
QANTAS and Sydney airport have dashed any hope of Schapelle Corby finding video footage that could clear her.
Corby's lawyers have won time from a Bali court to try to find security images that could link others to the drugs found in her body-board bag.
Qantas has previously said that security images of Corby checking in at Brisbane airport in October 2004 were lost.
Qantas said yesterday there was no new information.
Last week, Customs Minister Chris Ellison's office said no footage existed of Corby's bags in the baggage handling area at Sydney. An airport spokesman said yesterday he had nothing to add.
Corby flew from Brisbane to Bali via Sydney.
She is appealing against a 20-year sentence for carrying 4.1kg of marijuana into Bali.
